Trinidad Richard "Trine" Ysusi, 91, of Humboldt, Kansas, passed away on January 30, 2026, at Heritage Health Care in Chanute, Kansas, after a short stay, but year long illness.

He was born on January 11, 1935, in Marquez, Texas, the son of Heriberto Ysusi and Catalina (Gutierrez) Ysusi.

Trine grew up and received his education, graduating with the Chanute High School class of 1954. He dedicated his working years to the cement industry, serving as a Production Foreman for Monarch Cement. He was known as a hardworking, dependable man who took pride in providing for his family. After retirement he dedicated himself to work at the Humboldt elementary school, Growing Place, and B&W Hitches as a custodian.

On February 19, 1955, Trine was united in marriage to Lorenza "Lorraine" Ysusi (Espinosa) in Fredonia, Kansas. They shared 69 years together until her passing. He remained devoted to his family throughout his life. This marriage was blessed with three children, Catherine, Albert, and Michael.

He made his home in Humboldt, Kansas, where he was a devout member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Trine enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. He liked fishing, especially for flathead catfish, hunting pheasant, woodworking, and spending time reading western novels. He was a man who appreciated the outdoors, working with his hands, and quiet moments spent doing the things he loved. Trine was a dedicated fan to his sports teams, including the Kansas Jayhawks, Kansas City Chiefs, and Kansas City Royals.

He is survived by his children Catherine and husband J.D. Baughn, Albert and wife Virginia Ysusi, Michael Ysusi; grandchildren, Joseph and wife Krysta Baughn, Ryan and wife Brenna Kaufman, Seth and wife Wendy Kaufman, Amber Knoblock and partner Ethan Golay, Trina and husband Dustin Ashmore; 14 Great-Grandchildren, Jarek, Kalyn, Kynli, and Jayse Baughn, Kendall, Crew, Bristol, Harrison, and Charli Kaufman, Ryland, Naomi, and Lucas Knoblock, Corbin Golay, and Kayson Ashmore; Great-Great- Grandchildren Blakelyn; Half-Brothers, Louis and wife Judy Ysusi, and Phillip and wife Pam Ysusi; Step-Siblings, Genevive Wiggins, Linda Hernandez, and Eddie Godinez.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Lorraine; his 5 siblings, Josephine and husband Jesus Sanchez, Joe Sr. and wife Betty Ysusi , Rebecca and husband Jesse Mendoza, Esther and husband Frank Solis Sr., Fred and wife Isabel Ysusi; Step-Sister Vicky Hernandez; Grandson, Joshua Baughn.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, February 14, 2026, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Humboldt, Kansas. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Humboldt. A Rosary will be recited at 9:30 A.M. prior to the Mass at the church. Visitation will be held Friday, February 13, 2026, from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at The Venue, 1883 HWY 54, Iola, Kansas, 66749.

Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Joseph Catholic Church, Humboldt, and may be left with Feuerborn Family Funeral Service.
