Suzanne Stanley

Suzanne Stanley, age 73, passed away on January 18, 2024, at her home in Humboldt, Kansas.

Suzanne was born on June 22, 1950, in Iola, Kansas to Gerald and Marjorie McCall. She grew up and lived in the Humboldt area her entire life. Suzanne was a 1968 graduate of Humboldt High School, then later in life, attended Neosho County Community College in pursuit of a nursing degree.

Suzanne and Dan Stanley were united in marriage on June 7, 1969 at the Humboldt United Methodist Church. She was a devoted homemaker, raising her two sons, before starting her professional career at Ashley Clinic, where she retired as the Business Office Manager. She was very involved in the Humboldt United Methodist Church, serving as Sunday school teacher, secretary, trustee, and many other positions. Suzanne held all offices throughout her years in Chapter AM P.E.O., and was a founding member of GALS FCE. She also acted as the bookkeeper for the family cattle operation. She enjoyed canning, camping, beekeeping, bird-watching, canoeing, as well as other outdoor activities with her family and friends.

Suzanne is preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Carol Ann McCall.

She is survived by her husband; sons, Winthrop (Jody) Stanley and Dustin (Angie) Stanley; sister, Linda (Doug) Leonard; grandsons, John, Nathan, David, and Daniel Stanley; and was blessed with many other close friends and family, who will miss her dearly.

The family will be planning a celebration of life service at a later date. Memorials may be made to United Methodist Church of Humboldt, and left in the care of Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, 1883 US Highway 54, Iola, Kansas. Condolences for the family may be left at .
