Susan Stanford, age 41, of Louisburg, Kansas, passed away on Friday, October 6, 2023 at her home.
Susan Marie Stanford was born on December 8, 1981, in Seoul, Korea, the daughter of Billy Gene Stanford, Jr. and Sun Ok (Nam) Stanford. She grew up in Richmond, Kansas and attended Central Heights School, graduating with the class of 1999. Susan enjoyed being a cheerleader in high school and in college. She then attended Highland Community College, where she earned an Associate's Degree. She also attended Ottawa University before going to work. Susan worked in various positions in area hospice and healthcare facilities. She was currently working as a Medication Assistant at Vintage Park in Louisburg.
She loved her family and friends, attending many of their children's events. She was ecstatic with the birth of her son, Mason, in 2015. Susan and Mason lived in Richmond with her father Billy, following the death of her mother. In 2022 they moved to Louisburg, where they lived with her fiance, Travis Ross Jr. Susan enjoyed making their house a home.
Susan loved her work and you could always count on getting a huge smile from her if you were bringing her Starbucks. She could always be counted on being up for new adventures, she especially loved going on Jeep adventures with Travis and exposing Mason to new things.
Susan was preceded in death by her mother, Sun Stanford on October 18, 2015.
She is survived by her father, Billy Stanford of Princeton, Kansas; fiance, Travis and son, Mason and Travis' son, William of the home; Travis' son, Travis III, of TwentyNine Palms, California; two sisters, Arran Richardson and husband, Bae Carter, and Kristin Spencer Stephens both of Ottawa, Kansas.
Memorial services for Susan and Mason Stanford will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, October 16, 2023, at the Feuerborn Family Funeral Service Chapel, 219 S. Oak St. Garnett, Kansas.
