Steven E. Collins

Steven E. Collins, age 71, of Garnett, Kansas, passed away on Friday, September 25, 2026, at Richmond Healthcare in Richmond, Kansas.

He was born on August 11, 1955, to Alva and Edna (Bell) Collins in Garnett , Kansas. Steve attended school in Garnett and graduated from Garnett High School with the class of 1973.

Steve's family meant everything to him, and he cherished the time he spent with those he loved. He especially enjoyed making memories with his grandchildren. In his free time, Steve could often be found fishing, hunting, camping, tending to his garden, or taking a ride on his John Deere Gator.

Steve began his working years at John Deere in Garnett before eventually venturing out on his own and starting Steve's Farm Repair. He operated the business for many years, taking pride in helping and serving the local farming community.

He was united in marriage to Sandy (VonHolten) Collins in 2004.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Becky Lynn Collins; brothers, Kevin Wesley and Gary Lee Collins.

He is survived by his children, Joe Collins and wife Jilissa of Garnett, Kansas, April Collins of Richmond, Kansas, Tammy Harwood of Garnett, Kansas, Michelle Moyer of Welda, Kansas, Rodney Moyer and wife Kirsten of Fort Walton, Florida; grandchildren, Gaven, Bree, Cayden, Gracee Collins, Conner, Reagan, Collin, Carter Slyter, Hannah Bell, Nala and Piper Harwood, Shelby Prater and fiance Clayton, Dominique, Damon, Emily, Danicka, Jerricka, Madi, Heather Moyer; great grandchildren, Lucy, Oliver and Houstyn; siblings, Arla Walton of Ridgely, Maryland, Cathy Wilson of Garnett, Kansas, Kenny Collins and wife Nancy of Lane, Kansas, Wanda Westphalen and husband Dean of Kearney, Nebraska, Clayton Collins of Garnett, Kansas, Tim Collins of Garnett, Kansas; several nieces, nephews and extended family.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, October 6, 2026 at the Feuerborn Family Funeral Service Chapel in Garnett, Kansas. Steve's family will greet friends on Monday, October 5, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
