Stephen Haen, age 72, passed away peacefully with family at his side on March 9, 2023 at St. Luke's South Hospital, in Overland Park, Kansas, after a brief but difficult battle with cancer.

Stephen was the youngest of seven, born to Ralph and Rose (Heiman) Haen on April 16, 1950 in Piqua, Kansas. Stephen's early school years were at St. Martin's in Piqua, Kansas and he was a graduate of Iola High's class of 1968. After high school he attended Allen County Community College. Their latest travels included a bus tour to Mackinac Island and a trip exploring Utah. Steve was a member of St. John's Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus council #6817.

He was "Grandy" to his grandchildren, all of their friends and beyond. His grandchildren were the light of his life and he loved attending their activities.

Steve worked at Gates Rubber Company for 34 years. After retirement from Gates he worked at Cedarbrook Golf Course and most currently for Irrigation and Turf customizing golf carts.
