Shasta Reynolds

Shasta Reynolds, age 63, of Garnett, Kansas, passed away on Monday, July 21, 2025, at Residential Living Center in Garnett.

She was born on October 15, 1961, in Kansas City, Kansas, the daughter of Howard and Phoebe (Thompson) Woods. Shasta attended school in Osawatomie and graduated with the Class of 1979. After high school she took classes at Emporia State University before being united in marriage to Jeff Reynolds in September of 1980. This union was blessed with three sons, Matt, Allen and Kenny.

Shasta dedicated several years of her career to the banking industry in Osawatomie, where she assisted clients with loans and financial services. In her later years, she continued her commitment to helping others through her work at the Elizabeth Layton Center.

Shasta was also a proud and active member of a quilting guild, a group that held a special place in her heart. She and her close-knit circle of quilting friends attended numerous conventions and retreats together, sharing their passion for the craft and creating lasting memories along the way.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and son, Allen Reynolds; brother, Randy Woods.

Shasta is survived by her husband Jeff, sons, Matthew and Kenny Reynolds; grandchildren, Kaiden and Payton Reynolds; sisters, Anita Hacker, Serena Bell; brothers, Mark Woods, Terry Bell, Bo Woods and Rusty Woods.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at Ruhamah Cemetery, Rantoul, Kansas. Memorial contributions may be made to Shasta's funeral and medical expenses and left in the care of the funeral home.
