Robert Billion

Rob Billion, age 58, of Osawatomie, Kansas entered eternal life on Saturday, May 11, 2024. He was a loving father, husband, and hard worker. He loved being with his family, and being outdoors.

Robert John Billion was born on September 5, 1965 to Donald and Linda (Albright) Billion in Wyandotte County, Kansas. Rob attended Garfield Elementary. He graduated from Wyandotte High School with the Class of 1984. Where he was a member of the Honor Choir.

While working at Jostens in Lenexa, Rob met his future wife, Shelly. On June 18, 1994, Rob married Shelly Katzer at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Scipio, Kansas. Their union was blessed with two sons, Matt and Nick. Rob and Shelly spent 24 years living in Lane, Kansas before moving to Osawatomie. Rob worked at A & M Products in Spring Hill, Kansas for 20 years before going to work at his current job at Kalmar, in Ottawa, Kansas.

In his free time Rob enjoyed watching Chiefs and Royals games. He loved watching tv shows about Bigfoot and other sci-fi topics. He also enjoyed attending the Kansas City Renaissance Festival. His musical tastes favored Celtic and Folk music. He was a bit of a history buff and shared his knowledge with his family. Over the years Rob also enjoyed deer and pheasant hunting. He loved fishing for crappie, but he probably loved eating them more. Rob spoke fondly of his memories of fishing for white bass on John Redmond with his father.

He was preceded in death by all four grandparents; and both parents, Don and Linda Billion; sister, Deb McGlashan; his beloved dogs, Bud, Chip, and cats, Princess and Oatmeal, who adopted Rob. Oatmeal made sure she was the first thing Rob would see every morning.

Rob is survived by his wife, Shelly; sons, Matt and Nick Billion; two dogs, Chloe and Grace; father and mother-in-law, Tom and Mary Katzer; brother-in-law, Jeff Katzer; sister-in-law, Tammy (Mike) Chitwood; brother-in-law, Pat McGlashan; nephews, Jeremy Billion, Jake Wheeler, Jeff Wheeler, and Jordan (Beth) Wheeler, Drew Katzer and Tyler Owens; nieces, Andrea (Cory) Read and Ashley Chitwood, Audry Owens, Megan Owens; 5 great nieces and nephews; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

At Rob's request, private family services will take place at a later date.
