Richard Lafferty

Richard Wayne Lafferty, age 46, of Bronson, Kansas, passed away February 25, 2024, in the emergency room at Allen County Regional Hospital, Iola, Kansas. Richard was born April 7, 1977, in Fort Scott, Kansas, to Paul Lafferty and Marsha (Wagner) Lafferty.

Richard graduated in 1995 from Uniontown High School, where one of his greatest joys was attending high school prom with Joan Ermel.

Richard enjoyed swimming, traveling, animals, and camping. He loved vacationing, especially going to Grand Lake and Washington state. Richard liked flea markets, craft shows, and helping Earlene craft items.

Richard was preceded in death by his father; uncle, David Lafferty; and grandparents, Ed and Ina Lafferty; Earl and Clara Finfrock.

Richard is survived by cousins and caregivers, Earlene Brewster and Mike (Karen) Finfrock; aunt and caregiver, Kay Liens; siblings, Randy, Christina, Brenda, Tammy; and several cousins.

A graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 7, 2024, in the Uniontown Cemetery, Uniontown, Kansas.

Memorials are suggested to Allen County Animal Rescue Facility (ACARF), and may be left with Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, 1883 US Highway 54, Iola, Kansas.
