Patricia Ann McGinnis

Patricia Ann "Patsy" Moore McGinnis, 84, of Moran, Kansas, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 27, 2026, at Moran Manor in Moran, Kansas.

Patsy was born on March 25, 1942, in Iola, Kansas, to Harold Roy and Beulah Ann (Scoville) Moore. She was raised in Iola, where she graduated with the Class of 1960 from Iola High School.

On November 27, 1960, Patsy married Fred Wayne McGinnis Jr., at Trinity United Methodist Church in Iola. Their marriage was blessed with one daughter, Tricia Brown. As Fred faithfully served his country in the United States Army, Patsy embraced the adventure of military life, following him wherever duty called. Along the way, she built a career in retail sales, where her genuine kindness, warm smile, and love for people made her a natural fit. No matter where life took them, Patsy had a gift for making others feel welcomed and valued.

Patsy found great joy in being a grandmother. She cherished time with her grandchildren, Allison and Little Cliff, and took pride in watching them grow, always offering love, encouragement, and a warm smile.

At the heart of Patsy's life was her faith in the Lord. She lived it quietly but intentionally, allowing His love to guide her words, her actions, and the way she cared for those around her. Patsy was a faithful member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Iola, where she devoted many years to teaching kindergarten Sunday School. She believed that even the youngest hearts could know God's love, and she cherished every opportunity to encourage children in their faith.

One of Patsy's favorite pastimes was gathering with friends for Bible studies. She treasured the fellowship, meaningful conversations, and the opportunity to grow in her faith alongside others.

Music was also one of Patsy's greatest joys. She loved both secular music and songs of worship, believing music was a gift to be enjoyed and shared. She faithfully encouraged Tricia through years of piano lessons, helping nurture a lifelong love of music that ultimately became her daughter's career as an accompanist and piano teacher.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold Roy and Beulah Ann (Scoville) Moore; and brother Dennis Moore.

Patsy is survived by her beloved husband, Fred Wayne McGinnis Jr.; her daughter, Tricia and husband Clifford Brown III; two grandchildren Allison and husband Shawn Ludlum, and Clifford Brown IV; along with extended family, church family, and many dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.

No services are scheduled through Feuerborn Family Funeral Service. The family will hold a private service at a later date.
