Nancy Kimball, age 64, of Lane, Kansas, passed away at her home on Tuesday, January 13, 2026.
Nancy was born on August 14, 1961, the third of five children born to Richard Eugene and Mary Ellen (Brock) Morrow. She grew up in the Ottawa area and graduated from Ottawa High School with the Class of 1979. Nancy was a woman deeply devoted to her family and her communities in Lane and Richmond, where she made her home with her husband, Jim.
Nancy's work ethic was a cornerstone of her life. She was employed at King Radio for over ten years and also worked for Anderson County Hospital and Our Own Hardware. However, she was perhaps best known for her thirty-year career at the HWY 59 Service Station, which she owned and operated since 2013. Additionally, Nancy drove a school bus for CF Bus Services for over 25 years. She wanted to ensure she was the one to drive all of her grandchildren to school.
Nancy was fiercely loyal and protective of those she loved. She was known for her straightforward, stubborn nature-a woman who always told you exactly what she thought. At the service station, her firm but fair business sense was well-known; you certainly did not want your name on the table for owing her money. Beyond her work, Nancy was a pillar of her community. She was a founding member of the Richmond Ruritan Club in 2006, and she and Jim were active members of the Lane Ruritan Club since 1986. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren, and she made every attempt to be present for all of their events, continuing to care for everyone around her until the very end.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Richard Eugene Morrow in 2009 and Mary Ellen Morrow in 2025; her grandparents, Floyd Olin and Lela Rose Brock; three uncles, Eugene Brock, James Brock and Leland Morrow; three aunts, Florine Kreie, Rosie Mullinax, and Betty Kirkland; and her niece, Kelli.
She is survived by her husband, Jim Kimball, of the home; two sons, Ross Kimball and wife Jennifer of Lane, Kansas, and Leland Kimball and wife Jamie of Richmond, Kansas; and seven grandchildren, Dylan and fiancee Mackenzie, Lane, Carter, Ethan, Tristan, Kenna, and Bossen Kimball. She also leaves behind four brothers, Mike Morrow of Sealy, Texas, Tim Morrow and wife Theresa of Ottawa, Kansas, Larry Morrow of Garnett, Kansas, and Rod Morrow of Ottawa, Kansas; three sisters-in-law, Cathy Smith and husband Mark, Patty Bell and husband Brad, and Sue Stringer and husband Mike; two brothers-in-law, Gary Kimball and wife Karen, and Eldon Riley and wife Teresa; as well as her uncles, Jerry Brock and wife Marie, and Gary Brock and wife Judy; aunt, Carol Welton; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members who held a special place in her heart.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, January 19, 2026 at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service in Garnett, Kansas. Inurnment will follow in the Richmond Cemetery. Nancy's family will greet friends from 4:00-6:00 PM Sunday afternoon at the funeral home in Garnett.
