Misty Lane Henderson

Misty Henderson, a devoted and loving wife, mother, sister, and daughter, passed away on March 13, 2026. She was born on December 15, 1980, in Miami, Oklahoma, to Fred Wellhausen and Jan O'Brien.

Misty graduated from Laquey High School in Missouri before beginning her service in the National Guard. She later continued her dedication to her country by joining the United States Navy, where she proudly served for 14 years. During this time, she also earned her master's degree in Human Resources.

It was in the Navy that Misty met her soulmate, Steve Henderson. The two were married on, February 18, 2003, and shared 23 wonderful years together. Their marriage was blessed with two children, Haley and Beau, who were the center of Misty's world. She and Steve shared a love of travel, especially enjoying cruises and discovering new places together. Misty had a true sense of adventure and was always planning the next destination. Among her favorite places to visit was the San Diego Zoo, reflecting her deep love for animals. At home, she cherished her beloved dogs, Snowball and Goose.

Above all, Misty found her greatest fulfillment in being a mother. She took immense pride in Haley and Beau, delighting in sharing stories about their lives and accomplishments. She had a special way of making every holiday, milestone, and ordinary day feel meaningful and memorable. Whether it was shopping with Haley to find just the right finishing touches or cheering Beau on at his football and golf events, Misty was always present, supportive, and full of pride.

Misty was a natural caretaker with a generous and thoughtful spirit. She found joy in giving to others, often searching for the perfect gift or a great find while thrifting. Her kindness, warmth, and compassion left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her. She will be remembered for her caring spirit.

She is survived by her husband, Steve Henderson; her children, Haley and Beau Henderson; her father, Fred Wellhausen; her twin brother, Tyler Wellhausen, and his wife, Hailey and children Ren and Keane; her grandmother Patsy Robinson; her mother- and father-in-law, David and Edna Henderson; as well as many other cherished family members and friends.
