Mavis LeAnn Kline, age 2, of Iola, Kansas, passed away on May 30, 2026, at Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri.

Mavis was born on March 15, 2024, in Chanute, Kansas, to Tim and Ciara Kline. Though her time on earth was far too brief, her life was overflowing with love, laughter, and joy. In just two short years, Mavis left a lasting imprint on the hearts of everyone who knew her.

Mavis lived a life knowing nothing but love. From the moment she was born, she was surrounded by the unwavering love of her parents, who taught her by example how to care for others with kindness, compassion, and a joyful heart. Because of that love, Mavis shared it freely with everyone she met. She had a special way of making people feel important, offering smiles, hugs, and affection without hesitation. To know Mavis was to love her, and she returned that love to everyone around her.

Mavis was a spirited little girl whose personality was larger than life. She was a true firecracker, always keeping her family on their toes and filling each day with adventure. Every morning, her first mission was simple: wake up, watch Bluey, get a juice, and ask for the truck. Whether it was riding with her dad or heading out on a new adventure, there was nothing she loved more than being along for the ride.

She was a wild child at heart who loved getting her hands dirty, playing outside, and exploring the world around her. Yet she also adored wearing her pretty dresses and could switch from rough-and-tumble play to twirling with delight in an instant. Music brought her endless happiness, and she loved dancing whenever she heard a song she liked. She especially loved watching Bluey and was particularly fond of Bluey herself.

Anyone who knew Mavis knew she had her daddy wrapped around her little finger. She was also her mother's shadow and treasured the time they spent together. Mavis loved attending church with her family. While her mother sang, she could often be found quietly coloring and watching with admiration before eventually joining in herself. Choir practices with her mother were among her favorite times.

Mavis had a remarkable ability to love others. Even when her older brothers picked on her, she never stopped loving them. Her brothers, Gabe, Harrison, Jameson, and Nathaniel, were her protectors, playmates, and best friends. As the youngest and only sister, she was treasured and lovingly cared for by each of them.

She found joy in life's simplest treasures: cats and birds, beloved stuffies, sneaking her mother's rosary whenever she had the chance, and somehow managing to steal someone's phone in the blink of an eye. Her bright smile, mischievous spirit, and infectious laughter brought happiness wherever she went.

Though her life was brief, Mavis taught those around her the beauty of unconditional love, wonder, and joy. Her family will forever cherish the memories she created, the laughter she shared, and the love she gave so freely. While their hearts ache with her absence, they find comfort in knowing that the precious little girl who brought so much light into their lives will never be forgotten.

Mavis is survived by her loving parents, Tim and Ciara Kline of Iola; her brothers, Gabe, Harrison, Jameson, and Nathaniel; along with grandparents, extended family, church family members, and friends who loved her dearly.

Though Mavis's time here was measured in moments, the love she gave and the memories she created will last a lifetime. She was, and always will be, her family's perfect little girl.
