Martha Moyer of Welda, Kansas, age 67, passed away on Thursday, January 1, 2026. Martha Ann Moyer was born on September 15, 1958, in Garnett, Kansas, the daughter of Conrad and Pauline Moyer.
Martha was very kind and deeply caring, never knowing a stranger and welcoming anyone into her life. She was a safe space for those she loved and would truly give you the shirt off her back. Selfless by nature, Martha cared for everyone she encountered, including strangers, and thought the world of those she served as a home health nurse. She provided her patients with the utmost compassion, dignity, and care throughout her career.
She graduated from Garnett High School with the Class of 1976 and was one of the special few to experience middle school in Welda. Martha worked at Arkhaven until the late 1990's and continued her dedicated service as the facility transitioned to new ownership under Guest Home Estates. She later devoted herself to home health care, where her gentle heart and giving spirit were evident to all.
In her free time, Martha enjoyed thrifting and finding treasures for others. In her youth, she raised rabbits and developed a lifelong love for animals, taking in any animal in need, whether domestic or wild. She delighted in making special birthday cakes for her nieces and nephews, whom she loved as her own children. Though she did not have children of her own, they were truly her kids in every way that mattered. In 1991, when their father passed away, Martha lovingly helped raise her nieces Michelle and Tammy, stepping in with unwavering devotion and care during a time of great need.
Martha cherished the time spent with her parents and lovingly caring for their needs. Her life was defined by service, generosity, and an unwavering love for family, friends, and all living things.
