Lois Marie Bradford, age 93, of Iola, Kansas, passed away May 26, 2026, at Greystone Assisted Living, Iola, Kansas. Lois was born September 8, 1932, in rural LeRoy, Kansas, to Arthur Miller and Merle (Dreisbach) Miller.
Lois and John O. Houston were married May 27, 1950. This union had three children: Brenda, Denise, and Russell. John preceded Lois in death in 1977. Lois married James Lindsey in the fall of 1977. James preceded her in death in 2000. On May 20, 2004, Lois and Robert Bradford were married. Robert preceded Lois in death in 2011.
Lois received a nursing degree and later a degree in nursing home administration. She worked in the medical field for Dr. Frank Lenski, Allen County Hospital, and Countryside Estates.
Lois enjoyed traveling, country music, dancing, gardening, and rodeos. She always loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Lois was preceded in death by her three husbands; her parents; sister, Beulah Rohr; brother, Leonard Miller; son, Russell Houston; granddaughter, Darci Lynn; and son-in-law, Roger Byrd.
Lois is survived by her daughters, Brenda (Gary) Braynard; Denise Byrd, Mary Lindsey-Kruep; son, Robbie Lindsey; grandchildren, Travis Maple, Elizabeth (Josh) McCardle, John (Kathy) Byrd, Alonna (Chris) McDowell, Kash (Victoria) Kruep; 15 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren; brother, James (Kathy) Miller; and numerous other relatives and friends.
A funeral service to honor Lois' life will be on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, 1:00 p.m., at Wesley United Methodist Church, 301 East Madison, Iola, Kansas. Burial will follow in Logue Cemetery, LeRoy, Kansas.
Memorials are suggested to Southern Coffey County Honor Flight, and may be left with Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, 1883 US Highway 54, Iola, Kansas.
