Linda Leonard, age 77, passed away on April 8, 2026, at her home in Humboldt, Kansas.
Linda was born on April 17, 1948, in Iola, Kansas to Gerald and Marjorie McCall. She grew up and lived in the Humboldt are her entire life. Linda was a 1966 graduate of Humboldt High School, 1968 graduate of Allen County Community Junior College, and 1970 graduate of Kansas State College of Pittsburg with a degree in business education.
Linda and Doug Leonard were united in marriage on January 26, 1969 at the Humboldt United Methodist Church. She was a stay-at-home mom during her children's early years before she began her career at Monarch Cement Company. In her 35-year career she spent time in the accounting and sales department before becoming Office Manager and Assistant to the President. After her retirement, she served as the secretary of the Humboldt United Methodist Church for 17 years. She was very involved in Humboldt and the surrounding communities where she held numerous offices in organizations including Chapter AM, P.E.O., GALS FCE, Biblesta committee, library board, and the Humboldt Chamber of Commerce. She was nominated for Heart of FCE, was honored as the Thrive Allen County Unsung Hero in 2023, and as a Golden Girl at the P.E.O. state convention in 2024.
She was a proud parent and grandparent. She enjoyed attending her kids and grandsons sporting events, spending time on her computer, and documenting family and community events by taking and organizing pictures. One of her most recent joys was the birth of her first great-grandson, Jack.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents; and her sisters, Carol Ann McCall and Suzanne Stanley.
She is survived by her husband Doug of 57 years; daughter Christy (Kyle) Seufert; son Steven (Camille) Leonard; grandsons Tyler (Hailey) Korte, Zach Korte, Cal (fiance Olivia) Leonard, Mac Leonard, and Riley Seufert; great-grandson Jack Korte; and was blessed with many other close friends and family, who will miss her dearly.
The family will accept visitors on Sunday, April 12, 2026, from 3:00 - 5:00 PM at the Humboldt United Methodist Church, 406 North 9th, Humboldt, Kansas. A celebration of life will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, April 13, 2026 at the Humboldt United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery in Humboldt.
Memorials are suggested to the Humboldt United Methodist Church and may be left in care of Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, 1883 US Hwy 54, Iola, Kansas 66749.
