Kate Donovan

Kytherine Irene Donovan, age 75, passed away July 3, 2026, at Moran Manor, Moran, Kansas. Kate was born December 9, 1950, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Charles Owings and Dorothy (Hanners) Owings.

Kate married Dale Donovan, Sr. on April 4, 1968, in Drexel, Missouri.

Kate enjoyed following her husband in his military career. She liked their time together time as campground host. Kate could recognize a song within a few notes. She enjoyed class rock music, bluegrass, and country music.

Kate was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and her sister, Sharon Stevenin.

Kate is survived by her children, April Desocio, Dale (Katy) Donovan, Jr.; grandchildren, Taylor (Danielle) Crawford, Garrett (Colleen) Donovan, Alaynah (Josh) Crawford, Melany Dean, Ayemiah Donovan, two sisters, Nancy Richards, Charlotte (Bill) Rommelfanger; and numerous other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held Thursday, July 23, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., in The Venue at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, 1883 US Highway 54, Iola, Kansas.
