Kyle Kent Potter, 74, died April 9, 2026, at his home in Iola, Kansas. He was born June 29, 1951, to the late James W. Potter and Beverly J. (Wilson) Potter.
Kyle graduated from Iola High School in 1969, a proud member of the 69'ers. He then went on to work as a supervisor at Gates Rubber Company until a tragic car accident in 1979. From then on he proudly continued working at Tri-Valley Developmental Center until his health declined in February of this year.
Kyle was a lifelong member of St.Timothy's Episcopal Church in Iola, Kansas
He is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters Brenda Potter and Jayme Appling; two brothers-in-law, Steve Appling and Jack Welsh; aunts and uncles, Sharon June and Don Hoffmeier, Evelyn and Kenneth Weatherman, and Mary Kay and Kenneth Potter.
Kyle is survived by his children Kristi Holland and Daniel and Becky Potter; 4 grandchildren Wyatt and Khloe Holland, and Lincoln and Lawson Potter, all of Louisburg, Kansas; two sisters, Kenny Sue (Eric) Miller, of Iola, and Becky Welsh, of Cripple Creek, Colorado; nieces and nephews, Maci Miller, Kristin Harper, Ivy (Chauncey) Morris, Sam Rowe, Cody (Bri) Conley, and Chase (Jordon) Appling; and his favorite snack buddies, Chevy and Camry Harper.
Kyle is now eternally "Happy in my Heart."
Kyle's family will greet friends from 5:00 - 7:00 PM on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 in The Venue at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, 1883 US Hwy 54, Iola, Kansas. A graveside funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at Highland Cemetery in Iola.
Memorials are suggested to St Timothy's Episcopal Church and may be left in care of the Funeral Home.
