Joyce Keilen

Joyce Keilen, age 75, of Garnett, Kansas, passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at her home.

Joyce Arlene McCullough was born on August 29, 1950, in Colony, Kansas. She was the sixth of six children born to Loren and Violet (Ewing) McCullough. She was raised in Iola, Kansas, where she attended school.

On July 2, 1982, Joyce was united in marriage to John Keilen in Iola. The couple built their life together in Minnesota before relocating to Garnett in 2012.

Joyce had a variety of interests that brought her joy. She was an animal lover who cherished her dogs, Sampsn, Thor, and Halo. She enjoyed relaxing while watching westerns and professional wrestling on television, and she took great pride in maintaining a beautiful and comfortable home. Above all, she loved her family dearly, treasuring the time she spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Loren and Violet McCullough, and her sister, Edith Modlin.

Joyce is survived by her husband, John Keilen; daughter, Tiffany Beasley and husband Jeremy; two grandchildren, Kendall Beasley, and Jessica Ramirez and husband Mario; four great-grandchildren, Violet, Ayvia, Roger, and Dakota; three sisters, Liz Zastrow, Corrine Boeken, and Shirley Hines; one brother, Virgil McCullough; brother-in-law, Bill Keilen and wife Peggy; and sister-in-law, Sally Bauer and husband Gene; and many nieces and nephews.
