John Huettenmueller

John Huettenmueller, age 66, of Shawnee, Kansas, passed away on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at his home.

John Reynold Huettenmueller was born on October 25, 1959 in Garnett, Kansas, the son of Fred and Patricia (Jerome) Huettenmueller. He graduated from Paola High School with the Class of 1978.

John was united in marriage to Renee Holst on September 15, 1983 in Kansas City, Missouri.

John was known for his unwavering work ethic and his dedication to his career, which he faithfully pursued for more than twenty years. He carried a kind and generous heart, always putting the needs of others before his own, even during times when he wasn't feeling his best. John's sense of humor was a gift he shared freely, bringing laughter and light to those around him. Above all, he was devoted to his family, working tirelessly to ensure they had a good life and doing everything he could to support their happiness.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister Janet Huettenmueller.

John will be missed by his wife Renee Huettenmueller of the home, bonus son Michael Durbin; bonus grandson Michael Durbin Jr; sisters, Mary, Pat, Joan, Jean, Julie; brother, Jim; along with many friends and relatives.

A rosary will be recited on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at 1:00 P.M. at St. John's Catholic Church in Greeley, Kansas with visitation following. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at St. John's Catholic Church. Burial will take place at St. John's Catholic Cemetery, Greeley.
