Keith "Smurf" Summers, age 69, of Parker, Kansas, passed away on Wednesday, August 3, 2022, at his home.
Glenn Keith Summers was born on January 24, 1953, in Garnett, Kansas. Keith was the second of two sons born to Charles Howard and Edna Elizabeth (Gillette) Summers. Keith grew up in Parker, Kansas and graduated from Prairie View High School in 1971. He was a lifelong Parker resident. Keith worked as a welder at Taylor Forge in Paola, Kansas from 1972 until his health would no longer allow in 2016.
Keith loved riding motorcycles and the camaraderie of the Harley Davidson "family". He was always looking for a bike run to ride in. Keith was a member of The Fraternal Order of the Eagles. In his free time he could be found tinkering around with things or working on his model airplanes. Keith enjoyed living a simple life and the company of good friends at Tanglewood Lake. Even though Keith was a man of few words, he was an eternal kid at heart and he loved a good party.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister in law, Pat Summers.
Keith is survived by his brother, Jerry Summers; two nephews and one niece and their families, Jason and Rachel Summers, and Hunter, Gatlynn, Jerrod and Caroline Summers, and Ivonne and Chad Clark, and Loman Wilson, GeraAnn Wilson and Connor Keefe, and Brody Wilson.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, August 9, 2022, at the Beagle Cemetery in Beagle, Kansas. Condolences to the family may be left at
