Glay Eugene "Corky" Yoho, age 95, of Neosho Falls, Kansas, passed way May 8, 2026, at Medicalodges of Iola, Iola, Kansas. Corky was born September 14, 1930, in Neosho Falls, Kansas, to Floyd Yoho and Elizabeth (Meyers) Yoho.
Corky and Rosalie Igou were united in marriage on September 23, 1951, in Kansas City, Kansas. Rosalie passed September 20, 2020.
Corky was a farmer and rancher, but better known as an auctioneer. Corky was an auctioneer since 1970, selling 1000s of auctions. He managed and auctioneered at the Iola Sale Barn for many years. Corky was one of the founders of the Woodson County Sheep Auction, where he also auctioneered. He donated his time for fair auctions, church benefits, and other charity auctions. Corky was the superintendent of the horse pulling contest at the Kansas State Fair for several years.
Corky worked a number of jobs to provide for his family. He built silos, he built county roads, would get chat from the river, barned hay, and he drilled oilwells.
Corky showed cattle in the very first Woodson County Fair, which was held on the courthouse square, using cattle panels to contain the animals.
Corky served as a Woodson County Commissioner for four terms, a total of sixteen years.
Corky never knew a stranger. He had an outgoing and friendly personality. Corky and Rose loved traveling, eating out, and enjoying their lives together. He liked attending local livestock sales and sometimes buying what the family referred to as "Corky's Specials." Corky enjoyed sporting events, horse shows, and livestock shows his kids, grandson, and great-grandkids were involved in locally. He was known to brag on their accomplishments. Corky was a good gardener, which he liked very much, growing sweet potatoes, tomatoes, peaches, and flowers.
Corky was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Rosalie; two sons, Michael Yoho, Galen Yoho; and sister, Eunice Hays.
Corky is survived by son, Tim Yoho; grandson Quentin (Hollie) Yoho, great-grandchildren, Aidan Yoho, Emery Yoho, Quinlyn Yoho; and daughter-in-law, Nedra Yoho
A visitation for family and friends will be Wednesday, May 13, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., in The Venue at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, 1883 US Highway 54, Iola, Kansas. A funeral service to honor Corky's life will be Thursday, May 14, 2026, 10:00 a.m., in the chapel at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, Iola, Kansas. Burial will follow in Cedarvale Cemetery, Neosho Falls, Kansas.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the Woodson County Fair Association and these may be left with Feuerborn Family Funeral Service.
