Gavin Patrick Jaro

Gavin Patrick Jaro, age 20, of Humboldt, Kansas, passed away March 15, 2026, at his home. Gavin was born May 17, 2005, in Chanute, Kansas, to Craig Jaro and Cindy (Brooks) Jaro.

Gavin graduated in 2023 from Humboldt High School. He attended Kansas State University and then returned to the Humboldt community to farm.

Gavin was a jack of all trades and was able to fix anything thrown in front of him. He was a hard and dedicated worker, and very meticulous. Gavin liked working on his machinery and truck. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and weightlifting.

Gavin was known for his work ethics, and he did not stop until the job was done. Even at a young age he carried the strength and responsibility way beyond his years. Gavin had a love for tractors, cattle, and simple joys of farm life. He loved his family deeply and worked hard to build something meaningful for them. Gavin always had a come back ready, quick with his wit and able to bring a smile even on the hardest days.

Gavin was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Lonnie Jaro; and maternal grandparents, Gary and Patricia Brooks.

Gavin is survived by his parents of the home; one brother, Cooper Jaro; one sister, Teghen Jaro; and numerous other relatives and friends.

A visitation for family and friends will Thursday, March 19, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., in The Venue at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, 1883 US Highway 54, Iola, Kansas.

A Rosary will be recited at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 20, 2026, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Humboldt, Kansas, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m.

Inurnment will follow Mass in Mount Hope Cemetery, Humboldt, Kansas.

Memorials are suggested to the Gavin Jaro Educational Scholarship Fund, and may be left with Feuerborn Family Funeral Service.
