Gail Jean Wolford

Gail Jean Wolford, age 72, of Iola, Kansas, passed away August 14, 2026, at her home. Gail was born January 9, 1954, in Iola, Kansas, to Clarence June Wolford and Amanda Emmaline (Huskey) Wolford.

Gail graduated in 1972 from Iola High School. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in social work from Oral Roberts University.

Gail was a social worker for the State of Kansas.

Gail was a longtime member of Iola First Assembly God Church, where she taught Sunday school for many years for the four- and five-year-olds. Her church, family, nieces, and nephews were important to her. Gail studied the Bible and is remembered as a prayer warrior. She was a caregiver to her mother.

Gail was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Judy Thomas; brothers-in-law, Fred Thomas, Steve Aikins, Sr; nephew, Steve Aikins, Jr., great-niece, Brooklyn Aikins

Gail is survived by her sister, Glenda J. (Wolford) Aikins; nephew, Ryan (Heidi) Aikins; nieces, Pam Randall, Mandy (Jeremy) Collins; three great-nephews; three great-nieces; one great-great nephew; and numerous other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be Thursday, August 20, 2026, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., in the chapel at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, 1883 US Highway 54, Iola, Kansas. A funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m, on Friday, August 21, 2026, in the chapel at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery, Iola.

Memorials are suggested to Iola First Assembly of God Church or to the Salvation Army.
