Faith Eleanor Weber

Faith Eleanor Weber, age 98, of Iola, Kansas passed away Thursday morning, April 2, 2026, at Allen County Regional Hospital. Faith was born February 4th, 1928, on the family farm outside Murdock, Nebraska along with her twin brother David to August Rieke and Lydia (Schlaphoff) Rieke.

Faith attended Nebraska Wesleyan University in Lincoln, Nebraska for 1 year then pursued and earned a nursing degree at Bryan Memorial Hospital, also in Lincoln. On November 11th, 1949, she and Carroll R. Weber were married at Callahan Church outside Murdock. Faith worked for several years as a registered nurse in Lincoln until the birth of her children. In 1967, Faith and her family moved to Iola, where she and Carroll owned and managed the Majestic Motor Inn motel, later the Best Western Inn for many years.

Faith was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her brothers David and Wesley. She is survived by her children: Alan Weber, Barbara (Jim) Magill and Patricia (Paul) Edwards; 4 grandchildren, Justin, Katie, Stephanie and Chris and 3 great-grandchildren, Cason, Sam and Jake.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at the Humboldt United Methodist Church.
