Edward Eugene Prock Sr.

Edward Eugene Prock, Sr., age 78, of Iola, Kansas, passed away August 3, 2026, at Via Christi - St. Francis Hospital, Wichita, Kansas. Ed was born February 28, 1948, in Iola, Kansas, to James Prock and Frances (Turner) Prock.

Ed graduated from LaHarpe High School. He worked as a self-employed electrician.

Ed and Alice Johnson were married September 20, 2003, in Iola, Kansas.

Ed built his own home and was known as an excellent builder and electrician. Ed liked to build furniture and do any kind of woodworking. He had a great sense of humor.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Melissa Prock; and son, Edward Prock, Jr.

Ed is survived by his wife, Alice, of the home; children, Marsha (Richard) Kumalae; son, James (Gracie) Prock; step-children, Wendy (Shane) Herrod, Chadd (Melissa) Nolen, Zachary Nolen; sister, Cindy; brothers, James F. Prock, Lyle (Barbara) Prock; and numerous other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 20, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., in The Venue at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, 1883 US Highway 54, Iola, Kansas. Inurnment will be later in the LaHarpe Cemetery, LaHarpe, Kansas.

Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, and may be left with Feuerborn Family Funeral Service.
