Dennis Wayne Guenther passed away on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at his home in Humboldt, Kansas. Dennis was born on July 24, 1943, in Iola, Kansas, to Lucas Daniel and Eunie Mae (Mooney) Guenther. Dennis grew up in Iola, Kansas, and graduated from Iola High School in 1961.
On February 29, 1964, Dennis married the love of his life, Jackie Sue Stanley, of Humboldt, Kansas. Dennis joined the Navy right out of high school and from there he joined the National Guard. After that he joined the police force in El Dorado, Kansas. Dennis was a police officer for five years, and after that he became an electrician.
Dennis was an avid fisherman, who loved the outdoors. He was also a baseball coach, Boy Scout leader, craftsman, and collector. He loved working with wood, building furniture, and carving his wood wizards.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents; half-brothers, Nelson and Lloyd; half-sister, Vera Mae; in-laws, Cline and Elnora Stanley; brother, Mel; youngest son, Eric.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Jackie; eldest son, Micah; five grandchildren, Amber, Brooke, Zach, Zoey, Taylor; nine great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and daughters-in-law, Ina and Cheryl.
The family would like to thank Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center Home Health & Horizon Hospice.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at the Carlyle Presbyterian Church, Carlyle, Kansas.
