Deloris M. Zornes

Deloris M. Zornes, age 89 of rural Bronson, Kansas, passed away on November 23, 2022 at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita, Kansas.
Deloris was born on February 9, 1933, on a farm northeast of Moran, Kansas. Deloris was the first of two daughters born to Curtis F. Marlow and Mary V. (Creel) Marlow. Deloris attended Spring Valley country school and then graduated from Moran High School with the class of 1951.
On November 5, 1952 she married C.W. "Dub" Zornes at Iola, Kansas. They lived in the Moran and Bronson area. Deloris worked for Dr. W.C. Browning as a dental assistant in Moran before going to work at Western Insurance Company in Fort Scott in 1976. She concluded her working years as a quality inspector at Gates Rubber Company in Iola, retiring in 1995.
While growing up Deloris always helped her dad with the farming and cattle and then she continued to help Dub with their farming and cattle. She enjoyed working with people, helping anyone she could. She loved her family and enjoyed doing for them.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dub, on January 9, 2003.
Deloris is survived by her son, Roger E. Zornes and wife, Diane, of Topeka, Kansas; daughter, Maxine E. Regier and husband, Royce of Buhler, Kansas; four grandchildren, Amanda Crumby and Zach, Wes Zornes and Amy, Cody Regier and Megan, and Kilee Frank and Ethan; 12 great grandchildren; sister, Frances Blevins of Maize, Kansas; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Services for Deloris will be held on Monday, November 28, 2022, at 10:30 AM at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, 1883 US Hwy 54, Iola, Kansas 66749, with Chaplain Lloyd Houk officiating. Burial will follow in the Moran Cemetery. Deloris' family will greet friends from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Sunday, November 27, 2022 at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service - Iola. Memorial contributions may be made to Wings of Warriors (Allen County cancer support group) and left in care of the funeral home. Condolences to the family may be left at www.feuerbornfuneral.com .
