Dean Caballero, age 59, of Garnett, Kansas, passed away on November 26, 2024, at Anderson County Hospital.

Dean was born on December 9, 1964, to Melanie King, in Fremont, California. He attended school in Fremont and after that moved onto other adventures in life.

Dean had a passion for fishing-whether he was casting a line with his bonus dad or taking his grandkids on outdoor adventures, he cherished every moment spent with family. A devoted fan of the Kansas City Chiefs, Dean could often be found cheering them on. He also had a great love for music and enjoyed jamming to his favorite tunes. Dean was a simple man that just wanted to enjoy life.

Dean met the love of his life, Brenda Williams, and together they shared 33 years filled with love, laughter, and unwavering support. He played a significant role in raising their three children and two of their grandchildren.

Dean was preceded in death by his grandparents; bonus dad, Thomas Gerds.

He was survived by love of his life, Brenda Williams, of the home, his mother, Melanie Gerds of Garnett, Kansas; brother, David Gerds of Los Banos, California; aunt, Pamela Ecclesfield, of Fremont, California; children, Tina Guernsey, of Chanute, Kansas, Tim Guernsey(Rhonda), Traci Hill(Will), both of Garnett, Kansas; grandchildren, Brian Abell, Tregon Guernsey, Trista Brown, Hunter Hill, Holli Hill, Sean Williams, Trinten Guernsey, Dakoda Hall, Hope Hill; 6 great- grandchildren; and numerous friends.

Services will take place in California at a later time. Memorials are suggested to the National Kidney Foundation, and can be left in the care of the funeral home. Condolences for the family can be left at www.feuerbornfuneral.com.
