David Lee Kramer, age 76, of Iola, Kansas, passed away at his home on February 10, 2026. David was born September 12, 1949, in Iola, Kansas, to Lawrence Kramer and Marjorie (Lair) Kramer.
David attended Piqua Grade School until eighth grade and graduated Iola High School in 1967. He then attended and graduated from Kansas State University in 1971 with a degree in agronomy.
David married Judy Tipping on January 13, 1973, in Erie, Kansas. They made their home west of Iola on the family farm where he farmed the land, raised crops, pigs, and cattle for 55 years.
David was a member of St. John Catholic Church, Iola. He was a member of the Piqua Knights of Columbus, where he was a 3rd degree Knight.
David usually had a good joke and enjoyed visiting with friends and neighbors, and he didn't know a stranger. He enjoyed working the dances at the Piqua Knights of Columbus Hall, where he could socialize and meet new people.
David enjoyed taking the side by side on country drives and out fishing with Judy. He loved to garden and plant trees, especially fruit trees. David loved his old blue feed truck, taking his beloved dog, Lucy, with him to feed cows. He also loved feeding deer and checking his cameras.
David built a legacy of hard work and dedication to family to be passed on through generations.
David was preceded in death by his parents.
David is survived by his wife, Judy, of the home; two sons, Michael (Kelli) and John (Bridget); four grandchildren, Carly, Henry, Ellie, Eli; brother, Steven Kramer; and sister, Dr. Suzanne Kramer Walter.
A visitation will be Monday, February 16, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in The Venue at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, 1883 US Highway 54, Iola, Kansas. A Rosary will be recited at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at St. Martin Oratory, Piqua, Kansas, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Martin Catholic Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the David Kramer 4-H Memorial Fund, and may be left with Feuerborn Family Funeral Service.
