David Flack

David Lee Flack, age 82, of Iola, Kansas, passed away suddenly on September 4, 2026. David was born to Russell and Virginia (Twineham) Flack on July 17, 1944, in Fort Scott, Kansas.

David graduated in 1962 from Moran High School and then from Emporia State University with a bachelor's degree in education in 1966.

David married Beverly (Brown) Flack on August 5, 1964 in Iola, Kansas.

David was a math teacher for Iola USD #257 for 32 years, retiring in 1996. He then worked for Russell Stover Candy for ten years.

David enjoyed playing golf, camping, fishing, woodworking, and being outdoors. He liked to travel and spend time in Texas during the winter. David loved spending time with his grandkids.

David was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Dean.

David is survived by his wife, Beverly, of the home; sons, Rusty (Johnna) Flack, Andrew (Jenifer); grandchildren, Joshua Holloway, Rhian Flack, Jenna (Jasmine) Flack, Mauren Flack, Keira Flack; sisters-in-law, Connie Flack, Jackie Brown, Susan Brown; and n numerous other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held for David at 10:30 a.m on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, in The Chapel at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, 1883 Highway 54, Iola, Kansas 66749.

Memorials are suggested to Allen County Animal Rescue Facility (ACARF) or Iola Public Library, and may be left with Feuerborn Family Funeral Service.
