Cynthia Janene Brooks

Cynthia Janene (Wade) Brooks, age 66, passed away on April 22, 2023, at Northwest Texas Hospital in Amarillio, Texas with family at her side.

Cynthia was born on April 23, 1956, in Iola, Kansas to A. Marion and Regnelda Maurine (Schermer) Wade.

Cynthia attended school in Iola and graduated from Iola High with the class of 1974. She went on to attend college at Wichita State College and Fort Collins College in Colorado.
Cynthia married Roger Brooks in 1977. They later separated.

Cynthia was very passionate about her love for Christ and sharing it with the world. She had a very caring heart and she dearly enjoyed traveling and even making her home in Israel and Mexico to spread the word of the Lord to others. Cynthia's main devotion in life was connecting others to our Father above. Cynthia had the heart and touch for working with the elderly and spent many of her days comforting them. Cynthia had a heart of gold and anyone that knew her felt her passion.

Cynthia is preceded in death by her parents and brothers, James and Kenneth Wade.
Cynthia is survived by her siblings, sisters, Loretta Fretz of Dalhart, Texas, Patricia (Dale) Riebel of Humboldt, Kansas and brother, Terry Wade of Lawrence, Kansas.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, May 4, 2023 at the LaHarpe Cemetery in LaHarpe, Kansas.
