Roger Perkins

Charles (Roger) Perkins, age 86, of Iola, Kansas, passed away Friday, April 17, 2026, at his home.

Roger was born December 13, 1939, in Walnut, Kansas, to Walter and Anna (Hess) Perkins. Roger grew up in Lebo, Kansas, where he graduated from Lebo High School in 1958. He was united in marriage to Linda Ludolph on February 10, 1968. They were married 58 years.

Roger farmed with his dad for several years before working for Behm in Osawatomie, Kansas. He later worked for Gates Rubber in Iola, Kansas, for 23 years before retiring in 2002.

Roger was a loving husband, father, grandpa, and great-grandpa. He was known as the ornery grandpa, always joking with the grandkids. They were a huge part of his life. Roger and Linda rarely missed an event of the grandkids. From concerts to sporting events to graduations, they traveled near and far to attend.

Roger enjoyed checking on his farmland in Richmond, Kansas, visiting the farmers and mowing the ditches. He also enjoyed watching old westerns, working in the yard and sitting on the front porch swing.

Roger was proceeded in death by his parents.

Roger is survived by his wife, Linda, of the home; son, Bryan Perkins; son, Dusty Perkins; daughter, Kortney Flores (Israel); his siblings, Karolyn Conaway (Jim), Keith Perkins (Kathy); seven grandchildren, Ashley Yocham (Matt), Michael Perkins (Lizzy), Morgan Kohler (Louis), Jhi Flores, Alyssa Flores, Dalton Luedke, and Chase Flores; and ten great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, April 26, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., in The Venue at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, 1883 US Highway 54, Iola, Kansas. A memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 27, 2026, in the chapel at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service. Inurnment will follow in Gas Cemetery, Gas, Kansas.
