Betty Ann Stevens

Betty Ann Stevens passed away on January 2, 2026. She was born in Perryville, Arkansas, on July 18, 1960, to Edmond Grable and Opal (McGhee) Grable. Betty was second to the youngest of ten children.

On June 19, 1978, she married Mathie Stevens, a union that lasted for 47 years. They moved to Kansas and settled in Vernon, Kansas. Matt and Betty lived in the same house for 40 years, raising their two children, Josh and Ashley. In 2023, they moved to Iola, Kansas.

Betty enjoyed the country life and the quiet of the "middle of nowhere." She lived for her family and never went anywhere without Dr. Pepper. Her greatest comfort was the simple things, like watching TV from her favorite chair.

Betty was preceded in death by both of her parents; son, Josh Stevens; granddaughter, Koda Cole; parents-in-law, Joe and Violet Stevens.

Betty is survived by her husband, Matt Stevens; daughter, Ashley Stevens; daughter-in-law, Johanna Harris; grandsons, Aden Cole, Nathan Stevens, Brent Stevens, Braden Stevens; and numerous loving extended family and friends.

A memorial service will be planned at a later date.
