Andy Ray Yoder, 65, of Welda, Kansas, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 7, 2026.
Andy was born on March 29, 1961, in Kansas City, Kansas, to David T. and Sylvia S. (Miller) Yoder.
On September 20, 1986, Andy married Pamela Welsh in Selma, Kansas. Together they built a life centered on family and hard work raising their four sons. Pam said that Andy loved her unconditionally and was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and work partner.
Andy worked for Brummel Farm Service for more than 40 years. He was known for his dependability, strong work ethic, and commitment to serving area farmers. Over the years, he formed many lasting friendships with coworkers and customers and took great pride in his work.
He enjoyed spending time outdoors, whether fishing, hunting, or caring for his cattle. One of his favorite memories was a crappie fishing trip to Mississippi. He also enjoyed quail and pheasant hunting and the many family outings that created lasting memories. Andy found his greatest joy in spending time with his family.
Andy had a positive outlook on life and appreciated the simple things. No matter how long the day had been, after finishing work and tending to his cattle, he would come through the door with a smile and say, "What a beautiful day." His kindness, steady nature, and gratitude for each day left a lasting impression on those who knew him.
Andy was preceded in death by his mother, Sylvia Yoder; his parents-in-law, Gerald and LaNelle Welsh; his brother-in-law, Donald Welsh; and his nephew, Taylor Davis.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 40 years, Pam Yoder of the home; his sons, Brandon Yoder (Amy) of Welda, KS, Kevin Yoder (Sara) of Tampa, FL, Kurt Yoder (Amanda) of Amoret, MO, and Ashton Yoder (Lindsey) of Augusta, KS; his grandchildren, Nate, Maddie, Tucker, Gracelynn, Kate, Emmett, Mae, Margo, Brooks, Walker, Lane, and a baby grandson on the way; his father, David T.
