Dewayne Smith

Altie Dewayne Smith, age 58, passed away on July 31, 2024, at his home in Iola, Kansas. He was born to Altie Wayne and Lula Bell Smith, the youngest of three children.

Dewayne will always be remembered for his kindness, loving personality, and infectious smile he showed to everyone he met. He was a loving husband and wonderful father and grandfather. His greatest joys were spending time with his wife and family on their farm. He loved camping, grilling, spending time in the woods, and shooting.

Dewayne was preceded in death by his sister, Candra Miller.

Dewayne is survived by his wife, Vicki; son, Benjamin (Rachel); two grandsons, Lincoln and Luke; parents, Altie and Lula Bell; and brother, Rodney (Rhonda).

Dewayne will be laid to rest in Highland Cemetery, Iola, Kansas. A private family service will be held later.
