Valli Ann Sutton

Valli Sutton, age 65, of Welda, Kansas, passed away on Saturday, December 26, 2020, at her home.

She was born on December 1, 1955, in Garnett, Kansas. Valli was the third of four children born to Dean and Martina (Tush) Reppert. She grew up on the family farm near Harris, Kansas and graduated from Garnett High School. On July 3, 1976, Valli was united in marriage to Jerry Sutton in Garnett, Kansas. Their union was blessed with five children. Valli lived most of her life in Garnett, moving to Welda in 2012. Over the years Valli worked at the sewing factory in Garnett and as a carhop at Sonic. She also worked for several years in the dietary department at Ransom Memorial Hospital in Ottawa. Valli enjoyed many years of bowling with her friends in the league at Garnett. Attending her children’s sporting events was a big part of her life while they were young.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jerry Sutton on July 30, 2015; and her brother, Clay Reppert.

Valli is survived by her children, Adam Sutton and wife Sarah of Garnett; Niki Sutton and Shane Owens of Lansing, Kansas; J.D. Sutton and Carl Sutton of Garnett, Kansas; Tiffany Heslip of Louisburg, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Shiloh Sutton, Dominic Sutton, Leah Sutton, Issac Richardson, Connor Owens, Elexis Heslip and Nathaniel Heslip; brother, Ed Reppert and wife, Janet of Burlington, Kansas; and one sister, Vicki Holman and husband, John of Meriden, Kansas.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM, Wednesday, January 6, 2021, at the Feuerborn Family Funeral Service Chapel in Garnett, Kansas. Burial will follow in the Garnett Cemetery. Valli’s family will greet friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at the Feuerborn Family Funeral Service Chapel in Garnett.
