Trena Lee McKinsey

Trena Lee McKinsey, age 52, of Thayer, Kansas, passed away September 28, 2021, at her residence. Trena was born December 26, 1968, in Iola, Kansas, to Lawrence B. (Bill) Goodell and Phyllis (Weldin) Goodell.

Trena graduated in 1987 from Crest High School, Colony, Kansas. She studied at Allen County Community College, Iola, Kansas. Trena was a medical billing clerk for the Community Health Center of Southeast Kansas, Iola, Kansas.

Trena and Scott McKinsey were married November 4, 2010, in Miami, Oklahoma.

Trena enjoyed high school rodeos, 4-H, riding horses, gardening, canning, cooking, reading, and her dogs. She loved her son and grandson, and spending time with them.

Trena is survived by her husband, Scott, of the home; parents, Bill and Phyllis Goodell, Colony, Kansas; son, Martey Hebeler (Ashley), Olpe, Kansas; grandson, Zander Hebeler, Olpe, Kansas; brother, Tadd Goodell (Lori), Colony, Kansas; nephews, Bryson Goodell, Colony, Kansas, Brayden Goodell, Colony, Kansas; and numerous other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 13, 2021, in The Venue at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, 1883 US Highway 54, Iola, Kansas. A funeral service honoring Trena's life will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 14, 2021, in the chapel at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, Iola, Kansas. Burial will follow in the Colony Cemetery, Colony, Kansas.
