Shirley M.E. Beeman, age 67, of Humboldt, Kansas, passed away on Thursday, September 27, 2018, at Labette Health, Parsons, Kansas. Shirley was born on September 15, 1951, in Chanute, Kansas, to Charles W. Miller and Dorothy M. Franklin Miller. Shirley and Merle LeRoy Beeman were married at Shirley's parents' home on May 1, 1970, in Humboldt, Kansas. Shirley worked for Thompson Poultry, she owned and operated a craft business and sold her crafts at area craft shows, she worked for greenhouse in Chanute, Kansas, and then Russell Stover Candy in Iola, Kansas, until her retirement. Shirley liked raising sheep, gardening, and flowers. Shirley loved her grandchildren and giving her kids a hard time. She enjoyed bowling and traveling with her bowling team. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents. Shirley is survived by her husband of the home; two sons, Wesley Beeman, Humboldt, Kansas, and Bengji Beeman and wife, Marsha, Savonburg, Kansas; two brothers, Arnold E. Miller, Sr., Moran, Kansas, and Charles Miller and wife, Phyllis, Lawrence, Kansas; three grandchildren, Austin Beeman and wife, Haley, Erie, Kansas, Kasey Beeman, Pittsburg, Kansas, and Taylor Beeman, Savonburg, Kansas; and numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, October 1, 2018, in The Venue at Feuerborn Family Funeral Home, Iola, Kansas. A graveside service and burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 2, 2018, at Maple Grove Cemetery, 439-459 2000th Street, Humboldt, Kansas.
