Peggy Mae Wilcox

Peggy Mae (Robertson) Wilcox, age 84, of Redlands, California, and a part time resident of Kincaid, Kansas, passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2022.

On January 16, 1938, Peggy was born in Sherando, Virginia, the daughter of Harry Thomas and Thelma Mae (Hyden) Robertson. Peggy served in the United States Air Force from May 1960 to October 1970. While in the Air Force, she attended Nursing and Anesthesia School at the University of Alabama. Peggy worked as a Registered Nurse and Anesthetist was later a successful Real Estate Broker, owning her own business "Peggy Wilcox Real Estate" in Redlands, and also previously worked for George Schnarre and Coldwell Banker Real Estate.

Peggy was united in marriage to Herschel Dean Wilcox on February 27, 1965, in Las Vegas, Nevada. This union was blessed with one son, Michael Dean Wilcox and two grandsons, Matthew and Samuel.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dean Wilcox; sister, Sylvia Lotts; brother in-laws, Walter Wilcox, Kenneth Wilcox and Arden Wilcox; sister-in-laws, Lillian Wilcox and Melba Rice; nephew Hunter Wade Lotts and niece Katherine Jobson.

Peggy is survived by son, Michael Wilcox and wife, Denise; two grandsons, Matthew and Samuel Wilcox; sister, Jeanette Robertson; brother, Barry T. Robertson and wife, Sarah; sister in law, Wanda Weirich and husband, Gene; cousins, David Hyden, Kenneth Hyden and Eddie Hyden; six nieces and one nephew, Jennifer Brooks, Melody Hayes, Kristie Johnson, Marsha Lane, Martha McCartney, Debbie Moran, and David Weirich.

Peggy was an extremely creative, highly ambitious, ever-loving, kind, generous and charitable individual. She was an extrovert that loved to spend precious time with family and friends, gambling at casinos, playing in bridge clubs and giving back to the community. She donated to many charities and gave to many in need. She was also a talented artist that loved animals and little children.

Graveside Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, June 16, 2022, at the Kincaid Cemetery in Kincaid, Kansas. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.feuerbornfuneral.com .
