Paula Mae Peterson, age 76, passed away Monday, March 30, 2020 at Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center in Chanute, Kansas.
Paula was born March 3, 1944 to Paul and Dorothy (Lee) Keele in Iola, Kansas. Paula attended school in Iola, Kansas where she graduated from Iola High School in 1963. She married Charles Peterson in 1965. Their union was blessed with four children.
Paula was an avid bingo player. You could find her sneaking off to the casinos when given the chance. She enjoyed the outdoors. Paula also loved to collect toys. She would spend her spare time watching movies. She was known for being ornery but having a great love for her family.
Paula is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles Peterson; and two brothers, Richard Keele and Robert Keele.
Paula is survived by four children, Cindy Anthony, Paul Peterson, Danny (Thelma) Peterson, and Dorothy Slater; eighteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and numerous other family members and friends.
