Michael Alan Wharry, age 70, of Yates Center, Kansas, passed away December 11, 2021, at his residence. Mike was born March 9, 1951, in Yates Center, Kansas, to Richard Wharry and Barbara (Morrison) Kee.
Mike graduated in 1969 from Yates Center High School. He attended Emporia State University, Emporia, Kansas. Mike and Peggy Fox were married August 4, 2015, in Cimarron, New Mexico.
Mike lived his greatest passion of rodeo for almost 30 years. Mike enjoyed ranching and hunting, which led him to start his own outfitting business called Lazy W One Outfitters.
Mike was preceded in death by his father and mother, and infant sister, Ida May Wharry.
Mike is survived by his wife, Peggy, of the home; brother, William "Dub" Wharry, Scottsdale, Arizona; and daughters, Tisha Wharry Keller, Salina, Kansas, Alex Wharry, Coffeyville, Kansas.
Cremation will take place and no services are planned.
