Kevin T. Loving, age 53, of Colony, Kansas, passed away on Monday, July 6, 2020.

Kevin was born on July 6, 1967, in Paola, Kansas. He was the third of eight children born to Henry Earl Loving and Aleata Diane Dillard Loving. Kevin grew up in Paola where he was active in several sports. In high school, Kevin excelled at wrestling and track for Paola High. Kevin took up boxing as a teenager, winning the Kansas State Golden Gloves Title. Kevin was proud to share his stories of sparring with many other accomplished boxers including Tommy Morrison.

He was united in marriage to Stephanie Whiles of Lane, Kansas, on April 12, 1990. Kevin and his wife Stephanie began their family in Miami County, Kansas, living there from 1986 to 1999, In 1999 they moved to Colony, Kansas. Where they made their final home. Kevin earned his Associates Degree in Science from Allen County in 2008. Throughout the years, Kevin worked construction as well as other various jobs. In 2014 Kevin began working for SE-Kan, now Bettis Asphalt, where he found more than a job, he found some of his lifelong friends.

Kevin was a man with many talents, he loved dancing and his dancing brought joy to his family and friends. He was also an excellent singer/songwriter with several of songs copyrighted and performed in clubs. Kevin was also a gifted artist who could draw anything, with his art on display in area businesses. In his limited free time he enjoyed fishing, playing basketball, long distance running, and watching sports on TV.

Kevin was a sincere, passionate, kind and funny family man with an absolute heart of gold. He would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. Kevin and Stephanie attended New Hope Baptist Church in Chanute. Kevin was blessed by his unconditional love for the Lord. He will be missed for his random acts of kindness to strangers and his family encourages you to do something nice for a stranger to honor Kevin.

Kevin was preceded in death by his infant son, Henry D. Loving; mother, Aleata Diane Dillard Loving; great-grandmother, Ruth Talley; grandmothers, Charlie Ruth Robinson and Ruby Moore; mother-in-law, Susan Brooks; father-in-law, Robert Whiles; aunts and uncles, Mary Jane Dillard, Joyce Wilkes, Denise Moore, Frank Dillard, Percy Wilkes, Virgil Dillard, and Billy Dillard.

Kevin was a loving husband, father of four, brother and uncle. He will be dearly missed by his wife of 33 years, Stephanie of the home; children Susan Ramirez and husband, Cesar, of Iola, Italy Loving and fiance, Dustin Helman, Kincaid, Kansas and Ky Loving of the home; two grandsons, Vincent Ramirez and Darnell Loving; father, Henry Loving and wife, Lizzie; brothers and sisters, Alisha Stephens and husband, Donald, Rudy Loving, Lisa Howard, Carla Maynard and husband, Roger, Kim Cross and husband, Randy, Daniel Loving and fiance, Kelsea Swearingen, Uvette Loving, brother-in-law, R.D. Whiles and wife, Rachael; aunt, Verlene Dillard; and all of his nieces, nephews, and several cousins. Kevin may you rest in peace, and you will be sadly missed until we meet again.

Funeral services for Kevin will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, July 17, 2020 at the First Baptist Church, 207 E Wea St, Paola, KS 66071 (face masks will be required for attendance at the church). Burial will follow in the Paola Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 6:00-8:00 PM, Thursday evening at the Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, 219 S. Oak, Garnett, Kansas 66032. Memorial contributions to the Kevin Loving Memorial Fund will be used for his young son’s future education. Condolences to the family may be left at www.feuerbornfuneral.com .
