John Alan Shores, age 50, passed away Saturday, March 7, 2020 at Allen County Regional Hospital.
John was born December 12, 1969 to Vaughn Keith Shores and Elma “Susie” Marie (Yoho) Ball.
John was known for being a quick witted, caring individual that always brought a smile to everyone's face. He was an avid Kansas City Chiefs and Kansas State Wildcat fan. He lived life to the fullest everyday. He was always keeping busy and finding new hobbies to take up. He was always positive and looking on the bright side of things. John had a great love for his family and never failed to show it.
John was preceded in death by his parents; step-father, Frank Ball; and sister, Lisa Shores.
John is survived by his wife of 21 years, Carol Wilkins; daughter, Dr. Bria Kettle; son-in-law, Mark Kettle; sister, Debbie Logan and husband, Frank; nephews, Franklin, Wyatt, Keaton, Walker, and Denver Logan; and numerous other family members and friends.
A funeral service will be held for John at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, March 12, 2020 at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, Iola,Kansas, in The Chapel. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery in Iola. Family will greet friends at 1:00 P.M. prior to the service at the funeral home.
