Jimmy Wayne Johnson, age 60, of Leroy, Kansas, passed away May 7, 2021, at the University of Kansas Health System - St. Francis Campus, Topeka, Kansas. Jim was born July 25, 1960, in Iola, Kansas, to Ira Johnson and Melda (Ward) Johnson.
Jim graduated in 1978 from Iola High School, Iola, Kansas. Jim served his country in the United States Navy, retiring in 1998 as a Navy Seal.
Jim enjoyed the outdoors, flying airplanes, hiking, reading, and wildlife. He was a spiritual person, and he spent most of his life on a spiritual path and simple living.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents.
Jim is survived by brothers, Mike (Elsa) Johnson, Liberty, Missouri, Doug (YoLonda) Johnson, Towanda, Kansas, Scott (Brenda) Johnson, Great Bend, Kansas; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Cremation has taken placed.
Memorials are suggested to Southern Coffey County High School Honor Flight, and may be left with Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, 1883 US Highway 54, Iola, Kansas.
