James "Jim" Neil

James "Jim" Neil, age 69, passed away Thursday, August 4, 2022, at Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth in Fort Worth, Texas.

Jim was born January 19, 1953, to Robert Eugene and Mary Elaine (Burns) Neil in Fort Worth, Texas. Jim married Lynne Holloway on July 7, 1979. Jim worked as a carpenter for the majority of his career.

Jim's life skills were amazing and were honed by work and his passions which included travel, camping, canoeing, racquetball and politics. He accomplished many things and did not need a formal education to find his way.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Elaine Neil; brother, Michael Neil; and uncle, Robert "Bob" Burns.

Jim is survived by his wife, Lynne Neil; son, Eric Neil; two grandchildren, Weston and Chandler; great-grandchild, Kaiser; ex-wife, Rhonda Cree; aunt, Maude Burns; and numerous other family members and friends.

A funeral to honor the life of Jim will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, August 16, 2022, at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service in Iola, Kansas. Burial will follow at Hepler Cemetery in Hepler, Kansas. Family will greet friends starting at 9:00 A.M. prior to the service.
