Hazel Marie Andrew, age 107, of Garnett, Kansas passed away Monday, September 30, 2019 at the Residential Living Center, Garnett.
Hazel was born on May 1, 1912 to James and Elnora (Neal) Snider in VanBuren, Missouri. Her family moved to Osawatomie, Kansas when she was six years old. Hazel graduated from high school in 1932. On July 2, 1936 she was united in marriage to Robert L. Andrew in Ottawa, Kansas. They made their life together in the Garnett and Rantoul areas. Hazel and Robert enjoyed fifty-nine years of marriage until Robert passed away in 1995. Hazel worked for the food service at Ottawa University for fifteen years, retiring in 1980. She was a member of the Garnett Presbyterian Church and the Women's Association, the Royal Neighbors of America and the Rebecca Lodge.
Hazel was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, six brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include one nephew, Kenneth Snyder, and many great nieces and great nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at the Feuerborn Family Funeral Service Chapel, 219 S. Oak, Garnett. Burial will follow in the Garnett Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Hazel's honor are suggested to the Residential Living Center. Condolences may be left at www.feuerbornfuneral.com .
