Harold Ray Weide, age 73, of Iola, Kansas, passed away January 26, 2021, at Olathe Medical Center, Olathe, Kansas. Harold was born June 14, 1947, in Iola, Kansas, to Beverley Weide and Ruth (Steeley) Weide.
Harold graduated in 1965 from Iola High School. Harold served his country in the United States Army. He worked various jobs, including Humboldt Brick & Tile in Humboldt, Kansas, H.K. Porter in Chanute, Kansas, and hauled hay for his father.
Harold was an avid tricycle rider who rode all over Iola, and who was proud to display his American flags. He rode 20 miles most days on his trike. Harold loved playing gospel music on his keyboard, while entertaining family and friends.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert Weide; and sister, Linda Bell.
Harold is survived by daughters, April Cowen and husband, Jeremy, Chanute, Kansas, Crystal VanLeeuwen, Shawnee, Kansas; grandchildren, Carley Cowen, Joselyn Cowen, Kai VanLeeuwen; sister, Karen Falls and husband, David, Springfield, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews.
A private family graveside service will be held with military honors in Highland Cemetery, Iola, Kansas.
Memorials are suggested to Wounded Warrior Project, and may be left with Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, 1883 US Highway 54, Iola, Kansas.
