Eugene (Gene) Henry

Eugene Wayne Henry, age 40, of Piqua, Kansas, passed away March 30, 2022, at his place of employment in Iola, Kansas. Gene was born June 21, 1981, in Springfield, Missouri, to Lloyd E. Henry and Marlene L. (Hassenger) Langwell.

Gene received his GED in 2012. He dearly loved his job at D of K Vaults, Iola, Kansas.

Gene and Nicole McFarland were married September 23, 2011, in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.

Gene loved his wife and kids. They were his whole world and life. Gene liked to hang out with his friends and family. He enjoyed fishing, camping, playing poker, and drinking moonshine. He liked to laugh and have a good time.

Gene was preceded in death by his mother, Marlene; cousins, Korey Haun and Kendrae Mahoney; and grandparents, John and Grace Mahoney.

Gene is survived by his wife, Nicole, of the home; dad, Billy Langwell, children, Johnny Henry, Kyle Henry, Jay Henry, Gloria Henry, Piqua, Kansas; brother, Matthew (Susan) Henry, Lampe, Missouri; sisters, Tiffany Goodsell, Harrison, Arkansas, Natasha Langwell, Harrison, Arkansas; and numerous other relatives and friends who mourn his passing.

A memorial service to honor Gene's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 15, 2022, in the chapel at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, 1883 US Highway 54, Iola, Kansas.

Memorials are suggested to the Allen County Animal Rescue Facility (ACARF) or Family Resource Center, and may be left at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service.
