Darryl "Joe" Hutchison

Darryl "Joe" Hutchison, age 60, passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at his home in Gas, Kansas.
Joe was born December 14, 1961. He worked various jobs over the years, but at the time of his passing was employed by the U.S.D. #257 School District in Iola, Kansas. He took great pride in his job and truly loved what he did and the interactions that he had daily with staff and students. Joe found his family while living at Moran Manor in Moran, Kansas. The staff that cared for him, quickly became the closest people to him and he loved them as his own.
Joe loved tinkering with many different things. He gave his van a complete make over and put a lot of time and effort into everything he did. You could also find him gardening and spending time outdoors. He was known for being very honest and maybe even a little bit stubborn! He will be remembered for his caring spirit, loving heart, and the willingness to take care of those who touched his life.
Joe is survived by his Moran Manor family and his many friends that he has made.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life service to honor the life of Joe will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, June 10, 2022, at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service in Iola, Kansas.
Memorials in honor of Joe are suggested to U.S.D. #257 and may be left with the funeral home or mailed to 1883 U.S. Highway 54, Iola, Kansas, 66749. Donations will be given to the school to help enrich the lives of children at the new elementary school where Joe was looking forward to dedicating his time and serving others.
