Barbara Leake, age 33, of Iola, Kansas, passed away on Friday, February 7, 2020, at Allen County Regional Hospital, Iola, Kansas.
She was born August 13, 1986, in Topeka, Kansas, the daughter of Justin Franklin and Patricia Ann (Smith) Busey. Barbara graduated from Highland Park High School in Topeka, Kansas.
Barbara married Joseph Leake in Topeka, Kansas, on April 11, 2017. She embraced Joseph’s children as her own, Alexys and Tyler. She worked as a CNA for home health for 15 years.
Barbara was known for being a very loving, compassionate mother, sister, and wife. When given the opportunity to help others, she would do so every time. She was an avid Kansas City Chiefs football fan.
Barbara was preceded by her parents; and her grandparents.
Barbara is survived by her husband, Joseph Leake, of the home; children, Shira, Alexys, and Tyler; one sister, Jessica Busey of Topeka, Kansas; one aunt, Becky Morgan of Topeka, Kansas; and many cousins.
Memorial services will be held at 1:00 P.M., on Tuesday, February 18, 2020, at the Feuerborn Family Funeral Service Chapel, Iola, Kansas. Inurnment will be at a later date in Highland Cemetery.
